Moulin Rouge: Sails fall off Paris's famous cabaret

In the afternoon of April 26th, I was walking to a different supermarket than usual, to do some shopping in order to clear my head.

When I arrived at Moulin Rouge in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, there were a lot of people who was taking photos saying 'oh my God'.

I didn't know why they said it because Moulin Rouge is very popular place where many tourists who climb up to Montmartre to take their first photo, accompanied by cheers. Why?

I could make sense of their disappointment after I looked at Moulin Rouge.

This is because the Moulin Rouge is formed like a red windmill, but the Sails had fallen down and was no longer there...
Fortunately, the news article said no one was injured.

I took 3 photos.
It seems that the reconstruction work hasn't yet been carried out.

Apparently the late Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana have both been Moulin Rouge before!

The Moulin Rouge is a historic building that was painted by impressionist painters. Many famous people have visited it. I hope it will be restored to its original state ↓ as soon as possible.f:id:MasaFra:20240427050655j:image
